Publication Policies
The International Journal of Ambulatory Care and Industrial Pharmacy (IJACIP) is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and integrity. We are committed to ensuring that all submissions are handled with transparency, fairness, and respect for all contributors to the publication process. Below are the key policies governing submissions to IJACIP:
1. Ethical Standards:
- Originality: All submitted manuscripts must be original works of the authors and should not have been published or be under consideration for publication elsewhere. Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable and will result in the rejection of the manuscript.
- Authorship: Only individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research and the writing of the manuscript should be listed as authors. All co-authors must agree with the content of the manuscript and approve the submission.
- Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest, financial or otherwise, that could influence the research outcomes or interpretation of the results.
2. Peer Review Process:
- Double-Blind Review: IJACIP employs a double-blind peer review process to ensure impartial and unbiased evaluation. Both the identities of the reviewers and the authors are concealed during the review.
- Reviewer Responsibilities: Reviewers are expected to provide constructive feedback and to disclose any conflicts of interest that may affect their impartiality.
- Timeliness: The journal aims to complete the peer review process in a timely manner. Authors will be notified of the editorial decision as soon as possible.
3. Manuscript Submission:
- Submission Guidelines: Authors must follow the Instructions for Authors provided on the journal’s website. Submissions that do not comply with these guidelines may be returned to the authors for revision before being sent for peer review.
- Revisions: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewer comments. Revised manuscripts must be submitted within the specified timeframe to be considered for publication.
4. Publication Ethics:
- Plagiarism Detection: IJACIP uses plagiarism detection software to screen all submissions. Manuscripts found to contain plagiarized material will be rejected, and the authors may be barred from future submissions.
- Data Integrity: Authors are responsible for the accuracy and reliability of the data presented in their manuscripts. Fabrication, falsification, or selective reporting of data is strictly prohibited.
- Corrections and Retractions: If errors are discovered in a published article, the journal will issue a correction. In cases of significant ethical violations or errors that invalidate the findings, a retraction may be issued.
5. Open Access and Licensing:
- Open Access: All articles published in IJACIP are open access, meaning they are freely available to the public without subscription fees. This ensures a wider dissemination and greater impact of the research.
- Licensing: Articles are published under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives (CC BY-NC-ND) license. This allows others to share the work with attribution but not for commercial purposes or derivative works.
6. Copyright and Permissions:
- Copyright Transfer: Upon acceptance, authors are required to transfer copyright to IJACIP, allowing the journal to publish and distribute the work. Authors retain the right to use their work for non-commercial purposes.
- Permissions: Authors must obtain permission for the use of any third-party material (e.g., figures, tables) included in their manuscripts and provide proper attribution.
7. Appeals and Complaints:
- Appeals: Authors who disagree with an editorial decision may appeal by submitting a detailed justification to the editor. The appeal will be reviewed by an independent reviewer.
- Complaints: Any complaints regarding the editorial process or publication ethics should be directed to the editor-in-chief. Complaints will be handled according to the journal’s established procedures.
