Publication Policies

Journal of Research in Pharmaceutics (JRP) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and ensuring the integrity of the scientific record. Our publication policies are designed to maintain transparency, fairness, and respect for all contributors involved in the publishing process.

1. Ethical Standards:

  • Authorship: All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research and have approved the final manuscript.
  • Originality: Manuscripts submitted must be original work and should not have been published or under consideration for publication elsewhere.
  • Plagiarism: The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism. All submissions are checked for originality using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with high similarity indices will be rejected.
  • Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal relationships that could influence their research. Editors and reviewers must also declare any potential conflicts of interest.

2. Peer Review Process:

  • Double-Blind Review: All manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer review process where both the reviewers and the authors remain anonymous.
  • Reviewer Responsibilities: Reviewers are expected to provide constructive and unbiased feedback, respect confidentiality, and notify the editor if they feel unqualified to review a particular manuscript.
  • Revisions: Authors may be asked to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers’ comments. Revised manuscripts are typically re-evaluated by the original reviewers.

3. Publication Decision:

  • Acceptance: Manuscripts that meet the journal’s standards after peer review and necessary revisions will be accepted for publication.
  • Rejection: Manuscripts that do not meet the required standards or are found to violate ethical policies will be rejected.
  • Appeals: Authors have the right to appeal editorial decisions by contacting the editor-in-chief with a detailed justification.

4. Retraction Policy:

  • Grounds for Retraction: Articles may be retracted in cases of proven scientific misconduct, plagiarism, unethical research practices, or significant errors that compromise the integrity of the findings.
  • Retraction Process: Retractions are handled following COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines. The retracted article will be marked and an explanation provided.

5. Data Sharing and Reproducibility:

  • Data Availability: Authors are encouraged to make their data available to the public or provide it upon reasonable request to ensure the reproducibility of their research.
  • Supplementary Materials: Authors may submit supplementary materials such as datasets, software, or additional figures that support their findings.

6. Open Access Policy:

  • Accessibility: All articles published in JRP are open access, meaning they are freely available to the public without subscription fees.
  • Creative Commons License: Published articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY), allowing others to share and adapt the work with proper attribution.

7. Copyright and Licensing:

  • Author Retains Copyright: Authors retain the copyright of their work and grant the journal a license to publish the article.
  • Third-Party Material: Authors must obtain permission for any third-party material used in their manuscript and provide appropriate credit.
